Nursery Education is all about challenging your child and encouraging him or her to develop into a motivated learner and thinker, full of curiosity about the world around them, confident, eager and looking forward to starting school.

Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.

Curriculum

The curriculum draws on planned learning experiences, based on seven areas of learning and development.

The prime areas are:

  • Communication and language
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development

There are also four specific areas of learning and development, through which the prime areas are strengthened and applied.

The four specific areas are:

  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • expressive arts and design.

An expansion of each of these curricular areas can be found in ‘The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage’, (revised EYFS September 2012) published by HMSO, which we endorse as the foundation for work done at Dynamic Learning.
